Alas, the keyboard cavalry has no sense of decency. Instead, they kept their comfy gigs, hefty cash-to-yak cheques and impressive-looking calling cards.
With the Iraq War receding further into their rearview mirror and always on the hunt for more war, the cavalry has suddenly taken to saying and writing the stuff they said and wrote the last time they offered up geopolitical advice.
But, this time, the cavalry has set their sights on Vlad, not Saddam. You see, they’re working their way down the alphabet of tyrants. (Please note that the cavalry has skipped calling Mr. T — aka Donald Trump — a tyrant-in-waiting since he’s, well, the “president-elect.”)

I think that Putin hacking computers is tame compared to Gaddafi's viagra fueled rape squads. I guess the CIA writers are running out of scenarios. You have to admit it is hard to top the babies in the incubator stories. Those are good reasons for attacking a country and destroying its infrastructure. It is our Western Responsibility to Protect people in foreign lands from their evil governments.

I dunno. Peter Lavelle and his crew of regulars last Sunday really went at the whole Russophobia narrative and one thing that became quite clear is that the shrillness of the attack is viewed by Russians and Russia-friendly watchers as, perhaps, proof that the message is starting to fail and, hence, a heavier dosage is required to pacify the population here in the West. And everyone knows that addicts develop tolerance wrt the substance of their addiction, requiring ever larger doses, until ..... blam! Breakdown.
I would love to see Russian media give a little more detailed and intelligent attention to Canada. Our political elites are such whack jobs, coiffed-hair liberals, incipient fascists, and so on. Such juicy and rich targets. And they are so used to soft balls from the wimby media here. RT had a nice piece on Canadian sales of weapons to Saudi Arabia. More of that would be great.
Of course the Russophobia would just get over-the-top; Russians as baby-killers, serial rapists, malignant, deformed pedophiles, etc., you name it. But how much worse could it be than it is right now? I mean, in personal life, I'm at the point where, if I hear any of this stuff, I just say that my soiled underwear is due to ... Putin. But I usually can't keep a straight face.

In the name of "national security" or an unwillingness to "reveal our methods", etc., etc., the public is "not allowed" to evaluate the evidence for themselves.

I left out, as well, [not only the displacement of millions of people but also] the creation of a huge wave of refugees and migrants to the rest of the world, evoking right-wing and xenophobic politics across Europe in response, a wave which includes among its many thousands some few terrorists that get through, sowing mayhem and death. This "blessing", which Gadaffi predicted before his death, has come true.

If I remember correctly Russia opposed the war and they certainly did not participate in the invasion. The war criminals are Blair and Bush.

But no. The U.S. and Britain pretty clearly own that one. Russia wasn't even at the Paris conference, so they are about the only ones you CAN'T blame for that.
