Just finished reading The candidate by Noah Richler. It is his memoir of running in the 2015 federal election. If I had any lingering interest in running for public office reading this book cured be of it. I am still pondering my feelings towards Richler and the central campaign office. I vacilated between being sympathetic for the two.

I'm finally tackling Kazuo Ishiguro's The Unconsoled - just because I loved all his other books. I'm hoping that if and when I finish, I'll have figured out what it's about. Right now it's got me hooked, in a Stockholm Syndrome kind of way.

River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay. I've also got The Orchid Hunter (forget the author's name) on the go. And Joan Didion's The Year of Magical Thinking standing by. I really want to get a copy of Dennett's new book, too.
