Yes true china has a stock market and investors. They also have casinos in Macao. They treat the stock market like the casino, don't bring more money than you can afford to give away! But going back to Russia gate, it appears that the US has no interest in demonizing china, the clear winner and in world politics with probably the best politician in the world right now Xi JinPing 习近平。Trump even abandoned going after North Korea when 习近平 countered his comments with own proving who the best world leader is. Together with the long standing US post WW2 tradition of desperately searching for an enemy the US can beat up and say "hey everybody in the world look at us, these people are bad, they do bad things (we don't really have evidence they're bad so take our word for it) and keep using our US dollars to trade with.
Obviously china is flexing its economic might, squeezing out the US dollar in international trading. Last hope for the US is Western Europe and Russia is the best hope in a last ditch effort Middle East trading obviously is in there.
