Trudeau's raging incomptence
voice of the damned

"Virtue signaling"?

Why don't you just make it official and call him a "snowflake"?

Here's a less 'raging out of control' description of the donation to the Sexual and Reproductive Health initiative of the Clinton Foundation.

Canada's donation to the Clinton Foundation

Whatever one thinks of the donation, it has nothing to do with being incompetent. If I had the chance to address Robert Billyard directly I'd say, 'take a pill'. Oh yes, and do some more reading, it will sharpen your writing skills.

I think you just did.

Well, yes, I sort of assumed the poster was the writer of the article, but one shouldn't get carried away with assumptions. They can, and do, ambush you from time to time.

In any case, the article is so full of errors that one doesn't know where to begin. However here's one that should be addressed.

From the article:

By what right does he forward public funds to a foreign private foundation?

A teensy bit of research would reveal the money in question is part of Development Canada's budget, which is already approved by parliament. Every government department has a certain level of freedom to allocate funds where they think they will be best used.

Billyard, as the Toronto Sun, made much of the profligacy of the Clinton Foundation, without providing any figures, but the donation itself was for a specific initiative undertaken by the foundation. It was not just a general tossing of money at the Clinton Foundation, it was aimed specifically at a sexual and reproductive health initiative set up by the foundation.

You could argue the case based on your view of that initiative, but that was not a point approached by either Billyard or the Toronto Sun. Both of their articles were a race to see how many adjectives they could cram into a single page.

Which leads me to another bit of advice for Billyard. If you want to be taken seriously, go through your article and cross out all the adjectives and adverbs, then re-read it. If it doesn't sound like much without those words, then it probably isn't much.

He's acknowledged as much, so there's no mystery.

That's why I sometimes wonder why he doesn't just ASK RABBLE FOR A BLOG.

I think that makes more sense than trying to use message board technology to drive thirsty eyeballs to his blog hosted elsewhere.  And why I wonder why he's not just paying rabble for the advertising and the click-throughs.
