It's surprising that Gilles Duceppe endorsed Denis Coderre.
I guess it proves what they say about politics making strange bedfellows.
Debater, The bestial imagery of this comment is a little too much to take at breakfasttime. However, lagatta4, your hopes for Villeray-St. Michel-Park X just went up by one vote!
It was very surprising to see Gilles Duceppe support Denis Coderre because Duceppe has been a sovereigntist for so long and because Coderre is a federalist and was a Liberal MP. They were on opposite sides for so long.
They even ran against each other in the 1990 by-election in Laurier-Sainte Marie.
But it appears that Duceppe may be supporting Coderre because Coderre is part of the establishment and because Plante seems to be a threat to that in some way. But I'm not sure why it bothers Duceppe so much that Plante and Projet Montreal have connections to Quebec Solidaire and the NDP. I would have thought Duceppe would have preferred that over someone who is a former Liberal MP.
