Philosophers and visionaries rocking our existential boat
voice of the damned

We know too well the tyrannies of the present day world sustain themselves by delivering endless propaganda and our being ignorant of own history and our place in the world.

If we know that we are ignorant of something, then whose fault is it for the continued ignorance?

Maybe I'm being too literalist here, and "We know too well..." is just a figure of speech, or each of the two usages of "we" refers to a different group, but still. You might wanna read Orwell's Politics And The English Language to see what he says about mixed metaphors and what they reveal about a writer's thought process.

Mr. Magoo

Quote:
If we know that we are ignorant of something

Knowing that you're ignorant of something must be like matter and anti-matter colliding.  They cancel each other out, but tremendous energy is released.

But I agree.  If we're not ignorant of something we were ignorant of, the best way to describe it is that we're no longer ignorant of it.

This reminds me a little of when people say "We're all being DUPED by marketing, but it's clear that marketing duped us, and we see the shining path!!".  Bit of a contradiction there.
