I suppose BC's one percenters (read: Andrew Wilkinson & the BC liberals) don't believe in sharing the wealth. Too bad!

The responses to this nonsense are kinda brutal. As I have described, BCers are in love with their new NDP Attorney General.

What are the chances that David Eby will get re-elected in 3 years time, given the protests by his constituents over the "school tax" (0.2% property surtax on that portion of properties assessed in excess of $3 million)?

Most of the voters in his riding are renters. In turn, most of the of protesters are from outside his riding, particularly Vancouver Quilchena, which is represented by BC LIberal leader Andrew Wilkinson. There's a popular misconception that most West Side homeowners live in Eby's riding when in fact only a fraction do. And those homeowners voted BC Liberal last time anyway.

Liberals in BC will never ever recover from allowing this criminal activity to go on unattended under their watch for 16 years. And there are growing federal ramifications as well

Come on NDP let’s not be naive Politics is a dirty game Do you think for one second if the tables were turned that the Liberals would not already have a public inquiry up and running  NDP you need to be vicious and mean. We need a Public Inquiry into money laundering, and we need it now!!!

Looks like it will be mixed-member proportional as the proportional representation system voters will be choosing in the referendum

I don’t agree with charging  higher insurance rates to newcomers to the province They need to go back and do their homework on this one.

B.C. announces class-action lawsuit against dozens of opioid manufacturers for overdose crisis costs

More than 40 manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors are listed as defendants. The province will argue the defendants "placed profits over the health and safety of the public."

By distributors, do they mean the individual pharmacies who dispensed the opioids?

Are hospitals also listed?

Who do these Liberal clowns think they are kidding!

Quote:

When the B.C. Liberals were in government, they routinely refused to answer questions in the legislature regarding ongoing criminal investigations.

Eby responded to the final questioner, de Jong, with ridicule, saying he's "relatively new in this place". De Jong was first elected in 1994.

"I mean, he used to be attorney general, so he knows that police are separate from government when they do an investigation," Eby stated. "He knows that when special prosecutors are appointed, there's a reason for that—to keep the process independent of government."
