Who Is Safe?

Looking at the current state of the NDP and knowing where to go next, I thought an important part of that depends on who manages to still hold a seat after the next election. Here are my picks (assuming they run again):

Ruth Ellen Brosseau

Guy Caron

Alexandre Boulerice

Tracey Ramsey

Nathan Cullen

Niki Ashton

Georgina Jolibois

Sheri Benson

Peter Julian

Brian Masse

Cheryl Hardcastle

My list still has the NDP one seat short of official status. Is there anyone else who should be on this list?

JKR

Jenny Kwan?

Geoff

Charlie Angus, for sure.

Michael Moriarity

If the NDP lose our Hamilton seats, that will be the sign of a true disaster. Scott Duvall is running again in Hamilton Mountain, and should be able to hang on, given that he beat the big red wave in 2015. Dave Christopherson probably would have been safe in Hamilton Centre, but he is retiring. His replacement will most likely be Matthew Green, who is a city councillor in ward 3, where I live. Green decided, honourably I would say, not to run in the current municipal election, but he could live to regret trying to make the switch to federal politics.

Alexandre Boulerice can fuck right off. Once again the NDP make a case for believing that it is the LIBERALS who are the only left wing option in Ottawa.

Literally hours away from legal cannabis and there is Boulerice belly aching with Reefer Madness hyperbole, something I'd expect from a Conservative.

If this is the side of the fence the NDP are going to side on, they aint ever getting my vote. And in the unlikelyhood of a Boulerice led NDP they are dead to me. Boulerice is a straight up Conservative. Fuck him.  And fuck the NDP if they are going to behave like Conservatives, belly aching about cannabis  more than the CPC.

Singh wants all drug use decriminalized and treated as a health issue. Boulerice is a dinosaur. It just astounds me how ignorant people are about cannabis.

THis last hour attempt to block this from happening coming from the NDP pisses me off. This last ditch effort is something I'd expect from the Conservatives. According to Boulerice, Canada is 'not ready for 'this that the police 'are not ready to detect marijuana DUI's '

This guy is a fucking idiot. I've heard much less from the CPC. That's really saying something.

How is the NDP suppose to decriminalize or legalize all drugs when Singh's so called 'star' candidates can't get passed cannabis? It makes me wonder what other NDP MP's are thinking.

Jenny Kwan is in the safest NDP seat in the country and is personally popular. There is no question mark with her.

It had never entered my mind that Megan Leslie wasn't safe in 2015. Jenny Kwan probably is. I think just about everyone else is in for a scrap without much help from Singh and the national campaign. Angus included, who won last time with a much reduced margin and the lowest percentage since he was first elected.

I wouldn't bet on either of the two Saskatchewan MPs, I've heard the Conservatives think they can mount a strong challenge against Caron, and Cullen's probably not running again. I agree with JKR upthread that Jenny Kwan is probably safe.
