@NDPP

the only reason why we’ve heard about this alleged murder is because the western government allows it.

Heres what I’m starting to suspect. Syria victory and Iranian isolation was a huge loss for the west and particularly Saudia Arabia Israel

when I was in China recently, the state media was hammering on Israel non stop every fucking day! CCTV7, the Chinese military channel was even describing in detail how the Israel military used that Russian plane to avoid the s-200 defence system among other Israel crimes. The Chinese are painting the Israel government the criminals that they really are.

Here in the west, as we both know, Israel walks. But I believe that China Russia India Turkey Pakistan Iran and probably other countries are so powerful and united in the region that the West is scared shitless and wants out ASAP!

Makes perfect sense to throw Saudia Arabia under the bus to cover their ass!

This also is directly related to the recent US spies tampering with the recent Brazil election and Venezuela assassination. The west probably wants to cut off China Russia India from making inroads into South America, the final frontier for US imperialism.

NDPP

Glad to hear the Zios are getting the coverage they deserve on Chinese media. Here it's a wasteland as you can probably tell by all the Guardian, WaPo and NYT posts. No wonder they think the way they do.  Don't know how 'powerful and united' those regional countries are but I'll hope you're right and continue as best I can to monitor facts on the ground. I think Saudi is doing a great job throwing themselves under the bus. Here's hoping they take some of their international 'friends' under there with them...

Margaret Kimberley: Jamal Khashoggi and US Hypocrisy

https://blackagendareport.com/freedom-rider-jamal-khashoggi-and-us-hypoc...

"The corporate media cry crocodile tears over the apparent murder of an elite CIA-connected 'dissident' while papering over US complicity in Saudi warcrimes in Yemen. The Saudis may kill 50 Yemeni children on a school bus and get only a few mild rebukes, but killing a prominent man is another story entirely. The disappearance and presumed murder of Jamal Khashoggi, puts the corrupt relationship between Saudi Arabia and the US in high relief. The two countries have been partners in crime over many years. Together they used jihadist proxies to make war in Afghanistan Libya and Syria that furthered US interests.

Barack Obama, darling of the liberal imperialists, was only slightly less subservient to the kingdom than Trump is today. The Yemen attack began during his term in office. He continued the tradition of $100 billion defense deals with the feudal monarchy and made the relationship a top priority. Trump differs from Obama and other presidents only in his inability to be diplomatic. When first asked about a possible response to Khashoggi's disappearance he made it clear that he would do nothing to threaten war contractor profits. [Trudeau has made it similarly clear he won't either.]

In defending the clown prince he named Boeing, Raytheon and Lockheed by name as he dismissed any talk of sanctions. The hypocrisy doesn't end with Trump and Kushner. It can be seen in the corporate media who cover for a war crime against Yemen. There are no heroes in this story."

Killing one man is very, very far from the top of the list of the most horrific things Saudi Arabia has done; criticizing them for that is like criticizing Henry Kissinger for not tipping well at restaurants.

I haven't joined in the fray of commenting about this story because I do not trust it. Whenever you see the politicians and media all converge in agreement across political lines upon a single narrative with a great deal of focus and  promotion, it's time to turn up the dial on your skepticism, especially when that narrative involves foreign policy..."

The alt-left has trouble keeping its story straight.

In Post 227, Off Guardian says that the mainstream media is suddenly giving coverage to the Yemen War, but for the wrong reasons. Okay, maybe that's true.

But then in post 280, Caitlin Johnstone accuses the mainstream media of "decrying the murder of a single man while ignoring Saudi Arabia’s far more unconscionable behavior like its war crimes in Yemen".

So which is it? Is the mainstream media now ignoring the war in Yemen, or are they reporting it for the wrong reasons?

Obviously torturing and killing someone who had been an insider and broke ranks to some extent is not "worse" than the mass killing and abuse of Yemenis, or the Saudis' role in many atrocities abroad - in Arabo-Muslim countries even more than in Europe or North America, but it is telling about the deep perversity of the régime. 'Difficult' Binds Canada To Saudi LAV Deal, Trudeau Says (and vid)

'The contract signed by the previous government by Stephen Harper, makes it very difficult to suspend or leave that contract,' Trudeau told Matt Galloway on CBC's Metro Morning on Tuesday. 'We are looking at a number of things, but it is a difficult contract.'

'I actually can't go into it, because part of the deal on this contract is not talking about this contract, and it's one of the binds that we are left in because of the way the contract was negotiated.'

Even before Khashoggi's death, human rights advocates said Canada should not be supplying the Saudis with military vehicles that could assist in its ongoing military intervention in Yemen, where civilians have been brutally targeted. Trudeau said he understands this situation 'very well', calling it 'incredibly frustrating.'

'The government should stop hiding behind a contract and cancel the LAV deal, says law professor and former Bloc MP Daniel Turp.
