Like Oil and Gas, Time to Phase Out Canada’s Dairy As Well
Let’s attack science so dairy farmers can get rich
Yea!

What science was the removal of dairy from the food guide based on, NR?
On the fence here with this one.
First off, this is a food guide. Not mandatory stuff but perhaps there’s a hint in direction of what Canadian government will or won’t subsidize/support in the future?
Milk and dairy products has been a focus for me recently. Calcium and vitamin d. For me and especially my three kids.
For my kids, 800-1000mg calcium per day and 600iu of vitamin d. For adults 1300mg of calcium and same amount of vitamin d. And apparently you need the d to absorb calcium.
I take supplements so no problem there. But the kids, ai ya! My eldest boy has no problem with taking gummy vitamins and calcium vitamin d gummy and even an anti acid (tums) candy that have huge amounts of calcium. And he doesn’t drink milk anymore so he’s good.
The problem is with my twins son and daughter. My daughter doesn’t drink so much milk anymore (2-3cups per day) and the boy drinks a couple more than that.
Now some people may say that they’re getting enough and I shouldn’t be worried. But I’m concerned of when they transition away from milk. So far so good.
Here’s my flip side. Dairy industry is cruel to cattle! These are sentient beings aware of the world they share with us. They are intelligent and have every right to exist without being exploited.
When cows give birth to male calfs, they are sent off to be slaughtered for veal! And the dairy industry is a huge huge source of green house gases
Here’s a real good link I easily found that sheds some insight

The dairy industry me think protest too loudly
Kinda reminds me of the wailing from the sugar industry when it was suggested sugar content needs to be reduced
And from the tobacco industry when it was suggested people reduce or cut out smoking!

offs. yup let's destroy all our industries here in Canada .
we've already done a good job destroying most let's keep it up.
Maybe they can retrain dairy farmers to become tar sands equipment operators.
