With the Liberal collapse in support, Canada's New Democrats deserve a serious second look

Canadians have an alternative to the dying Liberal brand, which is substantially better than returning to the oppressive Conservative governments of years gone by.

By choosing their new Leader Jagmeet Singh, the NDP has once again shown their genuine progressive political leadership by being the first significant political party in Canada to choose a person of colour.

A second look? At the NDP? Really?

Rows and flows of wordy flair
And ice cream castles in the air
And grandiose promises everywhere
I've looked at the NDP that way

But now it only blocks the sun
It rains and snows on everyone
So many things we would have done
But NDP got in our way

I've looked at NDP from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's NDP's illusions I recall
I really don't know NDP at all

Sure sounds like the Liberals aren't interested in hearing the truth about the SNC scandal.

Jagmeet, make sure your doorbell is working, and that the ringer is on, on your cell phone!

Pressure building in Liberal caucus to eject Wilson-Raybould, Philpott

'They both have lost any right to be a part of this team' - Liberal MP Alexandra Mendès

She'd probably join the Conservatives first.

Pardon me if I appear a little suspect of what Liberals and Liberal supporters commenting on what Jody Wilson-Raybould will do, or won't do, has any semblance to the truth or reality in the SNC scandal.

Having said that, if the Liberals were to boot JWR and Philpott, any possibility of the Liberals getting re-elected would be severely crushed.

JWR recorded her conversation with the Privy Council Clerk Michael Wernick

Nice to see that there is some concrete evidence instead of the usual lies, deceits, inuendo and bafflegab coming out of Ottawa.

Is this the real reason why he resigned?

I wonder who will be the next resignation over the SNC scandal?

It also appears that SNC may have been speaking with forked tongue, eh!

Who knew!

NorthReport

Jagmeet Singh's call for a judicial inquiry into the SNC scandal seems more and more imperative with each passing day.

I can hear Joni Mitchell's voice singing them as I read these cleverly wrought words. Bravo.

Nice little poem here Unionist. Too bad it’s separated from reality. Try working in the imperialist  corporate domination and the imperialist corporate media.

swallow swallow's picture

Poetic. :)

In 2015 a lot of NDP supporters left the NDP to support Trudeau who said he was going to do politics differently

Those very disenchanted voters are looking for a new home, a new brand, and are rapidly beginning to see the differences between the Singh brand and the Trudeau brand

A good example is pharmacare, where the Liberals keep talking and talking and talking about pharmacare whereas the NDP are committed to enacting pharmacare right away

With the new and exciting energy that Singh’s leadership brings, combined with the high quality of their probable candidate, I forecast an NDP win here in Nanaimo Ladysmith

On Justin Trudeau: “What he and his minions did was wrong, they quite clearly tried to beat up on this minister [Jody Wilson-Raybould] and tell her to not proceed with a criminal case, and it’s all about politics… I’ve been calling it ‘Lanolin’ for years, ‘Lanolin’ is a a greasy company, it always has been. They are the sister of Bombardier, who built all these SkyTrain [cars]. I want to know who has the cement contract, because all of those cement pillars.”
