Wildfire Season Starts Early in 2019

We are supposed to be a rain forest but March it hardly rained at all.
The rain has started in the at least the Lower Mainland area now and is expected to last a few days at least on the coast.
I think it was last year where they said BC at one point had the worst air quality on the planet due to the fires.
I was glad to hear the Alberta government is going to build a second highway out of Fort McMurray
But we absolutely have to seriously address climate change, and immediately, or else.
And look at California., and people still challenge global warming.

We had an intense dry spell last spring to the point that I cannot ever remember people being as happy to have rain as when we did. Lake Winnipeg was far lower than I had ever seen it. We had a brutal winter. There was a high amount of snow, unfortunately with concern of a rapid melt that also brings potential flooding. The real problem there is that the water just washes away and doesn't sink into the ground. It's actually much worse in southern Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Canada is warming at twice the rate of the rest of the world and the Arctic and West Coast are warming even faster. But hell lets build a pipeline and LNG plants because that is the way to prevent climate chaos.

yesterday there was 13 active BC fires already and it snowed here today in Grande Prairie about 4 inches. mom said it only rained there a wee bit but mountains got snow.

Last year close to 50% of the BC Wildfires were man-made and this one as well is most likley human-caused
