Green Party Candidate Apologizes For Anti-Israel Tweets

https://www.cjnews.com/news/canada/green-party-candidate-apologizes-for-...

"A Green Party candidate in Saskatchewan has apologized for her past anti-Israel tweets. Dale Dewar, the Green hopeful in the riding of Regina-Qu'Appelle, said she's sorry for a series of 'inflammatory' tweets excoriating Israel for its treatment of Palestinians, supporting the BDS movement and suggesting Israelis have mental illness.

In her apology, Dewar said she is 'committed to non-violence and a global end to war. I do not support violence in the Middle East by either party. As all Greens, I unreservedly condemn anti-Semitism and I support the right of the State of Israel to exist.

In response, Martin Sampson of the Centre For Israel And Jewish Affairs said, 'As Canadians, [lol] we expect our elected officials to hold themselves to the highest standards. Invoking anti-Semitic or otherwise hateful stereotypes obviously fails that standard. 'Lending support to BDS, an anti-Semitic movement that has been condemned by Canada's parliament, is unbecoming of any candidate that is running for political office..."

Regina -Qu'Appelle is represented by Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer."

Most of those tweets were quite mild.

Pity the candidate folded and recanted to this arrogant and overweening agent of Apartheid  Israel. No doubt under the instruction of Tin Lizzie May.  CIJA should have no political purchase in Canada. Would we have tolerated such a noxious  lobby buying and bullying its way into our politics on behalf of  Apartheid South Africa? Or Russia? Shut it down and pack their meddlesome, malevolent Zionist asses off to Netanyahu's Israel where they belong.

What a surprise...May is still a Likudnik.

In other news-the sun once again rose in the east this morning.

Meawnhile, Pierre Nantel embarasses May by confirming he is a sovereigntist:

Who cares whether or not he is an indpendentiste. What matters is that May just confirms her sleaziness by lying about it!

Curiously, although the Canadian msm now exhaustively covers the various candidate 'vetting fails', with all the gory details, this particular Green party candidate seems to be largely missed from the coverage. Can't imagine why.

'We Need Candidates Who Will Stand Up To Such Pressure Not Succumb To It.'

"Green Party Canada, do you prefer candidates who always stand with oppressed peoples, or do you prefer candidates who throw oppressed peoples under the bus when they consider it politically advantageous to do so?"

All Canadian politicians fall on their knees to Israel and its lobby.

When questioned about Nantel's sovereignist statements repeatedly after the Maclean's debate, May's answer was to ŕun off the stage.

She can take comfort in the fact that he probably won't be one of her MPs.

The problem for Elizabeth May & the Greens is not necessarily that one of their temporary MPs has announced he's a sovereignist since all the parties have former sovereignists running, even the Liberals this time with former PQ minister Rejean Hebert.

It's that May & the Greens keep poaching MPs/candidates from other parties (from the NDP most of all).  May has spent the past decade trying to recruit temporary MPs who have been castoffs from other parties:

> Blair Wilson of West Vancouver, who left the Liberal caucus in 2008 because of a financial investigation.  He temporarily became a 'Green MP' which May used as a justification for having an MP to qualify for the 2008 debates.  He was not able to get elected as a Green.

> Bruce Hyer, Northern Ontario NDP MP, who left the caucus over disagreements with Mulcair.  He sat in the House with May before the 2015 election.  He was not able to get elected as a Green.

> Nunez-Melo, Quebec NDP MP from Laval, who joined the Greens after losing the NDP nomination for 2015.  He was not able to get elected as a Green.

> And last month, Quebec NDP MP Pierre Nantel was secretly persuaded by May to join the Greens, causing Quebec NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice to go over to Nantel's house in frustration to question him about it.

Plus, former Quebec NDP MP Jean Rousseau (Compton-Stanstead) is now running for the Greens.  And Bruce Hyer appears to back for the Greens in Northern Ontario.

Although all parties -- Liberal, Conservative, NDP, BQ, etc. have people in them that used to be a member of another party, no party has done as much poaching from other parties as May & the Greens have done, and it leads to awkward situations like the one happening with Nantel right now.
