I hope the Democrats have a real plan to pin Trump to the Tea Party and not take the fall by himslef. It is my greatest fear in US politics that when Trump goes he takes the fall alone becuase the GOP at the last moment dumps him and saves themselves. If the US had a more sophisticated political culture this would not be possible but I do not trust them to avoid this even if Pence goes.

This is definitely thread drift, but Buttar is a great candidate, and he may actually have a shot at taking Pelosi out. You see, California has this crazy single primary sytem. So, if Buttar can finish second to Pelosi in the primary, then he gets a straight shot at her in the general in a district the voters of which are far more progressive than Pelosi.

The impeachment effort against Trump does not address the present needs of the poor and working class, especially those of Black America. Mass incarceration, violent policing and the numerous forms of desperation and repression created by the twin evils of white supremacy and capitalism have been relegated to the margins. The hypocrisy of the Democratic Party shines bright for all to see, which gives Trump a potential boost in his bid for re-election. Revolutionaries and radicals should avoid getting sucked into the charade and focus on explaining to the masses how the power of people can only be realized by organizing around the needs of humanity, not the capitalist interests of Pelosi's Democratic Party or Trump's Republican Party."
