So the COVID 19 situation has escalated rapidly, with confirmed cases in almost every province and everything basically shutting down. We currently have 2 threads in the "International Politics" section describing this. I feel this is an urgent matter requiring immediate attention that should not be treated at the level of just another discussion. Can we find a way to change the forums, the front page, or everything else, to provide rapid, reputablie information and separate that from everything else that is happening?

I can go through the various COVID-19 specific threads (a lot of discussions in threads not specifically related are happening through the filter of the pandemic), pick the ones with the most reliable and up to date information and tag them to the health issue page. That's the closest thing we're going to get to a one stop shop I think.

I appreciate you working on rabble/babble, it is a great resource. I usually try to stay out of discussion, if I can, and post just a few limited links to articles that may be reliable and up to date. It is important to check sources, and read the fine print (ie. in the Covid deaths graph that I posted earlier it states: "Limited testing and challenges in the attribution of the cause of death means that the number of confirmed deaths may not be an accurate count of the true number of deaths from COVID-19." There are still a lot of unknowns and unanswered questions. I'm not sure what you see when you create a thread, whether you can tag an issue page or not. After the fact I can edit a thread to tag it to the food and health issue page, so if you identify a thread that you feel is particularly useful, drop me a line and I'll review and tag it. Also, we've created a section for all our articles on COVID-19 - it's on the navigation bar at the top of your screen. Hope this helps.

After the fact I can edit a thread to tag it to the food and health issue page, so if you identify a thread that you feel is particularly useful, drop me a line and I'll review and tag it. There are three ways to organize babble threads, and you can use all three of them to make your thread stick out on the internet like Keanu Reeves at the Academy Awards. The first option is tagging. Tagging your post thoroughly and accurately will help it show up on web searches and rabble's own search engine.
This was from 2011, maybe it no longer works. I don't, as yet, see any obvious way to tag my posts.
The food and health issue page, is in a drop down under ISSUES > Food & Health:
The section for all our articles on COVID-19 - it's on the navigation bar at the top of your screen. Again, this is also in a drop down menu under RABBLE > COVID-19:
If I Create Event, there is a text box for entering tags.
