If the election is legalistically overthrown for "fraud", the most egregious fraud will be that decision of the Republican-weighted Supreme Court. Even assuming the systemically corrupt process and the probable fiddling of votes from both parties, the 7 million popular vote lead of Biden would not plausibly evaporate. To endorse a pro-Trump Republican-partisan lawfare action of the Supreme Court would nothing to do with justice or democracy.

As usual, Putin is being pragmatic in not (yet) congratulating Biden--as phony as such an inevitable congratulation will be given the vile Biden's collection of neocons, aggressive imperialists hot and cold warriors who could easily be more of threat than the vile Trump for the third level power of Russia, and result in even more world conflict.  A Putin congratulation now would do nothing to placate these creatures who have thrived on the absurd Russiagate bandwagon.

Putin is still hedging by not inflaming the still active in office Trump who will be riding his "I was robbed" dog and pony show to the end. Despite "lame duck" status, Trump is still head of the US crime family and is capable of continued criminality such as the the stepped up murders and sanctions against Iran. If one is fixated on foreign presidential-puppetry there are more plausible candidates than Russia.
