I looked for an existing thread to post this to, but couldn't find one. So perhaps this will provoke some discussion, or perhaps it will be a 1-post thread. In any event, this morning Sabine Hossenfelder posted a YouTube video about this subject. Since I subscribe to her channel, I saw it right away, and I thought it worth sharing. This is a serious discussion by a professional physicist of the potential dangers of 5G technologies. It gives enough background for anyone to understand it, and Hossenfelder is a very skilled explainer.

Not only those dangers, but there are also scary implications for privacy. What's really unfortunate is that the conspiracy theories about 5G causing covid are distracting us from asking the very important questions about 5G.

Not for me. I didn't have the patience to wait for her to get to whatever point she wanted to make. She should give the conclusion or coles notes version first then get into all the details. It feels like one of those 30 page slide shows to get to the punch line.

I would trust her as a source, as I have followed her blog since inception. She is dedicated to a truth as a mathematician and scientist. She did a couple years at the Perimeter Institute at Waterloo. Ask her difficult and pointed questions for information that you can trust.

That doesn't make her a good communicator. I still have no idea what she thinks on the topic because she seemed to think I needed all the background first. The introduction should contain the argument she is making.

That was helpful after I skimmed for 30 seconds and got to the conclusion:
Here is for example a Meta-review published about a year ago, which came to the conclusion:
“The available studies do not provide adequate and sufficient information for a meaningful safety assessment.”
And here we have Rob Waterhouse, vice president of a telecommunication company in the United States:
Waterhouse admits that although millimeter waves have been used for many different applications—including astronomy and military applications—the effect of their use in telecommunications is not well understood… “The majority of the scientific community does not think there’s an issue. However, it would be unscientific to flat out say there are no reasons to worry.”
That’s not very reassuring. And the World Health Organization writes:
“no adverse health effect has been causally linked with exposure to wireless technologies… but, so far, only a few studies have been carried out at the frequencies to be used by 5G.”
So the protests that you see against 5G, I am afraid to say, are not entirely unjustified. Don’t get me wrong, damaging other people’s property is certainly not a legitimate response. But I can understand the concern. We have no reason to think 5G *is a health risk. Indeed, it is reasonable to think it is *not a health risk, given that this radiation is of low energy and scatters in the upper layers of the skin, but there is very little data on what the effects of long-term exposure may be.
So there is no absolute proof either way but it is reasonable to think there is no risk to health.
In any case that isn't the primary concern I've been hearing about. The two concerns I hear about most frequently are China spying and for some spreading Covid so Bill Gates can put trackers in vaccines through which we can be controlled.

You will have to do your research then to either support or deny those two other points. What would a tracker look like in a vaccine. What kind of chip would allow a back door?

I consider that a rabbit hole. If there is a possibility of using the 5G network to spy it will be done. It's just a matter of who will be spying on us. In any case I don't think not having a 5G network will stop spying. I am way more concerned about our major systems like electrical power being potentially hacked, or the control system of subways. Or someone poisoning the water supply.
As to injecting people with trackers, they could put them in childhood vaccines that everyone gets. If the world is at a point that China and the US are colluding to spread Covid 19 so Bill Gates can inject people with trackers then we might as well just give up.
I'm not going to debate flat-earthers. I don't trust mainstream media to always be accurate or to not twist facts but for the most part what they report factually is true. Biden did win the election. Scientists may get it wrong sometimes but even when they do they usually aren't that far off which isn't to say you can listen to any scientist or suspend your own personal sense of judgement. As an example, I trust that the medical profession and scientists are telling us the truth about how viruses are transmitted in general. That is, through droplets in the air and through touching contaminated surfaces and your face. It may travel less or farther in the air but that is the general means of transmission.
I don't believe that the virus was manufactured in a lab and let loose either accidently or deliberately. I believe it emerged naturally.
On 5G I think the primary objective is economic but it is possible spying is also a consideration. If it is possible to use the system to spy it will be used to spy no matter who puts it in.
