"Twitter is actually censoring this tweet that just states the news that Jeff Bezos has taken a stand against mail-in voting for workers at Amazon who want to vote on unionization. It's a fact that Bezos has taken this stance, not an opinion or claim of fraud. This is ludicrous."

This is only the beginning of such things under 'woke' corporate rule. As always, the censorship, silencing and suppression will be cheered on by  the usual chumps as long as Dems are in power.

What does Bezos's anti-union animus have to do with the topic of this thread?

There has never been a single incident of election fraud in the history of US elections. Every one knows that.

[HUGE] Four months after 2020 presidential election in Georgia no chain of custody documents produced for 440,000 absentee ballots deposited in drop boxes

As a result of the lies NDPP is pushing, Republicans are pushing state laws that would require voters, particularly minority voters in urban areas, to stand in long lines to vote on machines that not too occasionally break.

josh

Despite his false claims about mail voting during the 2020 election cycle, Trump requested a mail ballot on Friday for the third time in his Palm Beach County voter history.

The request was made nearly a week after the deadline to have a ballot be sent by mail. Mail ballots can be requested through Tuesday but must be picked up in person by the voter or a designee.

It's obvious that the Republicans are the ones rigging elections through racist and classist voter suppression.

The duopoly fixes elections. Just ask the Green's. The current Democrat's are not agents of change since the status quo does very well for the people who buy the votes for them. They propose that the central DNC and RNC can spend virtually unlimited amounts in targeted ridings. Instead of getting big money out of the equation the Democrats propose to add their central party committee to the game as a player. So much for citizen led democracy.

WASHINGTON — The Green Party has gone on the record with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Rules with a request that HR1 be amended to strike a provision that would quintuple the amount of money presidential campaigns will be required to raise to qualify for federal matching funds. HR1 will raise the qualifying threshold for presidential campaign matching funds from $5,000 raised in each of 20 states to $25,000 per state in 20 states.“While HR1 is sold as a way to get money out of politics and to protect voters, it contains a ‘poison pill’ for democracy and opposition parties like the Green Party” said Green Party National Co-Chair Tony Ndege. “How can they call this bill ‘For The People’ when they are silencing alternative parties at a time when more people than ever are demanding more political choice?”

“The Green Party stands opposed to this bait-and-switch legislation that claims to improve access to voting while actually dismantling everyone's right to organize electorally against the parties of War and Wall Street,” said Green Party National Co-Chair Gloria Mattera. “In recent presidential elections, Greens have been the only candidates to participate in the primary matching funds program. HR1 must be amended to stop this attack on presidential campaign matching funds that Green candidates have relied on for almost a decade — or the bill must fail.”

The Green Party is calling attention to other problematic provisions in HR1, which will:

  • Abolish the general election campaign block grants parties may access by winning at least 5% of the vote in the previous presidential election

  • Replace those general election block grants (where candidates receive one lump sum for all campaign expenses) with matching funds through Election Day — a step backwards for public campaign finance reform. Qualifying for general election matching funds will depend on meeting the new primary matching funds criteria designed to squeeze out alternative parties and independent candidates

  • Eliminate the limits on donations and expenditures candidates can receive and make

  • Inflate the amount of money national party committees can give to candidates from $5000 to $100 million, an astonishing increase of 1999900%

As to Russia, the report leaves no doubt: In 2020, as in 2016, “President Putin authorized, and a range of Russian government organizations conducted, influence operations” to help Trump and hurt his Democratic opponent. For example, “Shortly after the 2018 midterm elections, Russian intelligence cyber actors attempted to hack organizations primarily affiliated with the Democratic Party.” Then, in late 2019, Russia’s military intelligence service, the GRU, “conducted a phishing campaign against subsidiaries of Burisma holdings, likely in an attempt to gather information related to President Biden’s family.” Throughout the 2020 election, agents “connected to the Russian Federal Security Service,” FSB, planted negative stories about Biden. Internet operatives working for the Kremlin, including the troll farm that had boosted Trump in 2016, continued to promote “Trump and his commentary, including repeating his political messaging.”

Attacks on Biden and his son, Hunter, were part of this operation. Through “US officials and prominent US individuals, some of whom were close to former President Trump and his administration,” the report says Russia’s intelligence services “repeatedly spread unsubstantiated or misleading claims about President Biden and his family’s alleged wrongdoing related to Ukraine.” In this way, Trump’s circle “laundered” the Russian-planted stories, which were then recirculated—and promoted by Russia’s online proxies—as American news.

Agree.

I think that’s why it’s important to focus on one’s own respective elites. In “democratic” countries as much as in countries that pay less lip service to democracy the national level is the highest level public opinion has any influence on. We empower our elites when we let them tell us to focus our discontent on the elites of foreign countries. When the only way we have any hope of making the world more democratic is to disempower them.

I also think it makes it more difficult for elites in other countries when they can't point to hypocritical foreign governments attacking them and instead are surrounded by rising democratic movements.

JKR

I agree that we should deal with our issues before we criticize other countries. I think we should only criticize other countries through the United Nations. If we feel groups like the Uyghurs are being persecuted we can also offer asylum and immigration to some of them.

I hope that we do not open our borders to the terrorists in Turkey who helped destroy Syria to start a theocracy where no one has rights.

The Q Lie: The Power-Grab After January 6th Was the Real Insurrection

https://thenationalpulse.com/analysis/the-q-lie-the-power-grab-response-...

"...The Q-defying truth is that 75 million (and counting) Americans have concluded that Washington's elites are inept. In truth, when viewed outside its Twitter-enforced orthodoxy, the real scandal of January 6th rises to irony: The federal government failed to protect the Capitol from an unruly mob that had assembled partly to protest the government's failure to perform its basic function capably. The Q-Lie is an excuse for politicians to grab power from the people. It is, to borrow an expression, a form of insurrection."

US' 'Sacred' Elections...

"System's a mess? Blame it on Russia!"

josh

Remember the hysteria from some quarters, such as Tucker Carlson buddy Glen Greenwald, about Democrats in Washington passing laws restricting the right to demonstrate after the 1/6 attack in the Capitol?  Well, turns out nothing of the sort took place, but Republicans on the state level are passing laws doing exactly that.  And not a peep about it from those quarters.

Republican legislators in Oklahoma and Iowa have passed bills granting immunity to drivers whose vehicles strike and injure protesters in public streets.

A Republican proposal in Indiana would bar anyone convicted of unlawful assembly from holding state employment, including elected office. A Minnesota bill would prohibit those convicted of unlawful protesting from receiving student loans, unemployment benefits or housing assistance.

And in Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed sweeping legislation this week that toughened existing laws governing public disorder and created a harsh new level of infractions — a bill he’s called “the strongest anti-looting, anti-rioting, pro-law-enforcement piece of legislation in the country.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/21/us/politics/republican-anti-protest-laws.html

JKR

The Democrats are obviously far better than the Republicans!

kropotkin1951

I think all Americans should have the right to protest like the NEC says the citizens of Hong Kong deserve. No charges for assaulting other citizens or the police, no charges for destruction of public property and my favourite demand by the US backed demonstrators was an official proclamation that their riots were not riots. Seems to me that the only real difference is that under Hong Kong tort law, like our similar Canadian tort system, a person charged with participating in a riot while destroying a private business would be open to personal law suits but without the conviction for rioting proving which democratic protestors torched a business would be nigh on impossible.

The only problem with US citizens having the right to riot is they already have the right to carry lethal weapons to their peaceful protests. Civilized countries do not allow such breaches of basic public safety.
