Congratulations to Bonnie Henry and all of us here in BC for having dealt effectively with Covid-19 and for not listening to the lies of the anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers! We should be proud of seeing through the lies of the loony paranoid conspiracy theorists! It wonderful that we've been vaccinated in such high numbers!

Especially now that those constitutional suits against the mandates are being tossed from the courts

Well, courts in the United States did uphold slavery and did rule against progressive initiatives like ending child labour at times. But to lockdown lefties who can work from home or rely on retirement income which was not interrupted, none of that matters. Drug overdoes, missed medical appointments, mental health problems in children and young people, massive increases in poverty in the developing world, and interruptions in delivery of medical services, which in the end will probably cost more lives than could ever have been claimed by covid alone, are all an acceptable price to pay just so people who have the luxury of being able to sit in front of a computer all day don't have to feel scared.  And if companies moving to working from home makes it harder for people without computers to find work, well to the lockdown lefty these people don't matter, because it's important to stay safe. And these people have the gall to claim that "we're all in this together" and yet have no problem throwing insults or passing judgement on anyone who disagrees or on people who disobeyed health orders to spend time with their families at Christmas time.

Very few people care about protecting human rights when it comes down to it. Most people suffering political and social injustice throughout history are only unhappy with being on the wrong end of it, not because they want it to stop. Many times when the oppressed groups gain power they turn on the people who oppressed them. That's why Canada exists as a country independent of the United States, because after the Revolutionaries won their struggle, they turned on people who remained loyal to Britain. True human rights and civil liberties advocates (Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, JFK, Jesus Christ) tend to die violent deaths at young ages.

Dr. Henry resisted putting mask mandates in place in BC long after one had been in place here in Manitoba.

Manitoba was too lax dealing with Covid and then had to play catch-up.

Lockdown lefties? It appears as though you are just here to insult people on the left or people who consider themselves progressive because we don't agree with your fringe take on the pandemic and we are tired of you constantly pushing the right wing garbage. I think this is understandable given that this is a leftwing site.

Seeing as you apparently think we are a bunch of hypocrites who don't care about the vulnerable being hard hit by the pandemic I can't help but wonder why you are here. Do you enjoy hanging out with people you dislike and have no respect for?
