A video tweeted by incumbent Liberal candidate Chrystia Freeland, who served as deputy prime minister in Justin Trudeau's government, was given a warning label Sunday from Twitter, which marked it as "manipulated media."
Freeland's tweets, posted in both English and French, contain several edits and show Conservative leader Erin O'Toole answering a question about privatized health care during an online question-and-answer session in July 2020 during the Conservative leadership race.
Strangely when I heard this my response was how far down the rabbit hole can we go before we find a tea party? A foreign owned corporation inserting itself into our democratic process in aid of our furthest right party. Of course it is balanced by a former POTUS inserting himself into the campaign as well, on behalf of the other side of Canada's duopoly. While Canadians may not quite get it, clearly, America's elite understands we are a client regime not a sovereign nation whose internal affairs are sacrosanct.
Watch for further interference by our US rulers if the NDP surges to any dangerously high percentage.
