To promote the series of reports on the right to water and sanitation commissioned by the Blue Planet Project, communications officer Matthew Ramsden designed a multi-lingual bookmark that could be easily given out to people this week in Marseille, France.

The blue bookmark – in English, Spanish and French – says, “A RIGHT TO WATER FOR THE PEOPLE! Read the reports at blueplanetproject.net/rtw”.

These bookmarks were given to government officials, journalists, and activists throughout the week.

On Thursday night, Council of Canadians chairperson Maude Barlow spoke at the main plenary session on ‘the implementation of the right to water’ at the Forum Alternatif Mondial de l’Eau. She held up the bookmark and told the audience about the reports. Barlow encouraged activists to work with the Blue Planet Project to produce even more of these reports.

On Saturday afternoon, the popular bookmarks were given to bystanders and even motorists during the major march through the streets of Marseille.

The reports from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador (in Spanish) and Europe, India, Indonesia, Palestine, the United States and Canada (in English), as noted on the bookmark, can be found at http://www.blueplanetproject.net/rtw. Be sure to check them out!
