I’ve become concerned over the past few weeks at the amount of right-wing attention paid to the death and funeral of the Idle No More movement.

I can speak for Toronto that although there hasn’t been a round dance in a while — we must as solidarity activists, allies and supporters ask why organizers are not organizing or ask ourselves when do fellow activists take the initiative into their own hands and plan something?

It’s not enough to complain that you don’t see anything “happening” when you’re not checking in with the Tuesday Idle No More teach ins at Toronto Council Fire 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or checking in at their Facebook page to join in the dialogue.

I do want to point out that March 20 to March 22 have been called out as global day of actions for Idle No More.

March 20: Day of Ceremony and Resurgence

March 21: Idle No More Day of Action

March 22: World Water Day

I will keep you updated as news arrives on concrete plans for those days of action across Canada. You can also keep track of upcoming actions for these days by checking out the Idle No More community calendar here.

In Toronto, there is also an upcoming event on Saturday March 23, 2013 – Nation to Nation Now – the Conversation.
