On December 10, across Canada, Indigenous activists and allies “March(ed), demonstrated, blogged, tweeted, or starved to get their message to Stephen Harper: enough is enough,” as Nora Loreto put it on rabble. Yet the silence from the mainstream media around Idle No More was telling. Idle No More is too big of a story for the mainstream to ignore now, but as they play catch-up, you can follow the stories at rabble.ca, including in our long-standing section on Indigenous Rights.

Our coverage is only possible with solidarity from the community — your financial support. If you can afford to make a donation to keep independent media going, please do so today. Donations of all sizes make a real difference to us at rabble. Got $10? That helps. Got $50? That helps. Got $1,000,000? That’s good too.

We need and appreciate all donations, and include all donors in our weekly donation drive prize draws. You could win great prizes such as one of twenty five Beacon Bike Lights, one of Five Canadian CD music packs, our new rabble.ca tote bag, or even a year’s supply of Zatoun Fair Trade Extra Virgin Olive Oil (six 750ml bottles).

You can donate here:rabble.ca/donate.

Thanks!
