As the climate warms and storms increase in intensity, the world’s coastlines are becoming increasingly vulnerable. Mangrove forests once ringed the oceans and protected inland areas from flooding. Alfredo Quarto is with the Mangrove Project in Port Angeles, Washington. He has developed a model for restoring mangrove forests. Alfredo Quarto speaks with Redeye host Lorraine Chisholm.
