She is a fellow of both the Transnational Institute and the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., where she is the director of the New Internationalism Project. She specializes in  U.S. Foreign Policy Issues, particularly involving the Middle East and the United Nations.

But she is watching Canada’s role in Afghanistan as well.
