As the federal election draws near, rabble.ca’s discussion board, babble, is buzzing. A quick look at babble’s Active Topics puts the Election 2015 forum as babble’s most active and engaging.

The Syrian refugee crisis has galvanized the mainstream media (MSM), but what do progressives think? In this thread, babble contributors discuss not only Harper’s Canada and how its immigration policies are shutting out Syrian refugees, but also how the MSM is ignoring Canada’s ongoing military role in other countries whose war-torn citizens are forming a vast and desperate diaspora.

What would a federal NDP government cabinet look like? Would it duplicate the current shadow cabinet? Would it change with the election of the NDP or does Mulcair already have it right? Look at the discussion here.

Another thread asks the question: who will the Toronto Star endorse as our next leader? While lots of folks couldn’t care less about what the Centre-of-the-Universe media think, it’s worth noting that the polls are a strong indication of where the undecided MSM might land.

Feeling those election campaign blues? The LOL thread will give you a few election laughs via some of the best, most hilarious political cartoons. Who knew Gowron was the Klingon candidate for London North Centre? He’s got my vote.

Our federal election thread is humming, with nearly 500 posts and a whopping 10,000 looksies it’s probably time to set up a new one. Just one more sign that babblers have election fever.
