As a collaboration between the City of Vancouver, Gen Why Media and the Vancouver Design Nerds, the re:THINK HOUSING JAM was designed to help the Mayor’s Task Force on Housing Affordability set out its goals and priorities for the future of housing in Vancouver. The re:THINK HOUSING JAM was a constructive and creative way to get new perspectives on how we deal with Vancouver’s affordable housing crisis.

Thursday, July 5, will mark the unveiling of the re:THINK HOUSING competition entries at the Exhibition Hall of the Roundhouse Community Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews). This is your chance to see all of the entries and vote for your favourite. Event runs from 7-10 p.m. with doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Local authors Tyee Bridge, Luke Brocki and poet laureate Evelyn Lau will provide unique reflections on housing in Vancouver in a short program hosted by CBC Radio One’s Shiral Tobin. With music, mingling and food carts on hand, this promises to be a fun, lively event. A cash bar will be available.

This event is free but seating is limited. Please RSVP at:
