Building People Power: A panel on CETA with Maude Barlow, Steven Shrybman and Dorval Brunelle

The opening of the 2010 Council of Canadians AGM featured a panel on the Canadian-European Trade Agreement (CETA) with speakers: Maude Barlow, Chairperson of the Council of Canadians, Ottawa, ON, Steven Shrybman, trade and public interest lawyer, Ottawa, ON, Dorval Brunelle, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute of International Studies, Université du Québec à Montréal.

Shrybman’s talk was appropriate seasonally themed to include zombie slaying – he included a number of images in slide show format, which can be seen in the video, or downloaded here.

The evening was hosted by Morna Ballantyne and Steven Shrybman, and featured performances by John Akpata, D-LightFull, The Recipe and La Banda Sabrosa. Youth presentions were shared by Jasmine Thomas and Brynne Sinclair-Waters.
