G20 1

Salut rebellions,

Here we all are, standing strong against both the G8/G20 Summit and standing strong against violent police tactics and intimidation. I want to reiterate how proud I am of everybody who did not stay hidden at home but attended the Free the Toronto 900! rally on Monday right at police HQ. Over 2,000 activists and concerned citizens marched through the downtown core with brave hearts. We took our streets back from the terror of the police.

It is now extremely important for all of us to stand united with the Toronto 900! This was the largest mass arrest in Canadian history. They need our support right now, emotional, logistical and emotional. Plus, we need a healthy way to express our angry and outrage. We’re pissed off because we were all lied to.

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair lied.

News is now rolling out that there were no extra special powers granted to the police over the period that the G20 Summit was in Toronto.

Quote: As angry protesters chanted “Shame!” and called for his resignation, Chief Bill Blair tipped his cap and smiled at the crowd of about 100 people on his way into a Pride Week event hosted by Toronto police.

He left the event after 30 minutes, again needing an escort of members his own force to get through the mob.

Earlier in the day, Blair admitted there never was a five-metre rule allowing police to search and demand identification from anyone who strayed too close to the G20 security perimeter.”

Everyone chant: “We won’t / We won’t / Shut the fuck up!”
