This nanny saga is sad. Why is it totally okay for the Prime Minister to have a chef, a housekeeper, gardeners on the public taxpayer account, but childcare is a no no. Read a great article about this here.
However, this frustrating ‘scandal’ is an about an issue many Canadian families have been raising–childcare is an issue and we need affordable childcare now. Maybe if we had affordable, quality childcare, Trudeau’s children could get care for $10 to $15 a day alongside other Canadian children in Ottawa. Now that would be great for equality and for taxpayers’ pockets. Support the NDP childcare plan here.
