Zotero is an extension for the Firefox web browser that allows users to automatically source research citations while viewing them online for articles they are writing. Users can also add their own tags or data to the citation. Zotero necesssarily is interoperable with the major Office/Destkop publishing software (such as OpenOffice).
Zotero was developed by the Centre for History and New Media, and released under the Open Source Initiative’s Educational Community License. It is available at the project page and the Mozilla Firefox plugin page.
