At this event, Dr. Jasmin Habib will discuss the research projects she has conducted in both Canada and the US. In particular, Dr. Habib will shed light on the experiences of peace activists in both Canada and the US. Jasmin Habib is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Waterloo. She completed her MA in International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame and her PhD in Cultural Anthropology at McMaster University. She published Israel, Diaspora and the National Routes of Belonging with the University of Toronto Press. She is currently preparing her book manuscript entitled Transnational Palestine. In the last few years, she has been researching Jewish peace and human rights activists committed to the nonviolent transformation of the Israel/Palestine conflict.
