The young girl "Elena" (in the video) held in detention for 26 hours, says she was released on the condition that she and her friend were not allowed to go to any more protests or to visit the downtown area.

Am I hearing this right?!?!

Now people are no longer allowed to protest in the city of Toronto?!?!

This is outrageous!!

McGuinty has to be held accountable for secretly passing legistlation that turned our city into a police state!

And Harper  has to be held accountable for squandering our hard-earned taxpayer dollars outfitting the police in riot gear who were then suspiciously MIA while police cars burned in the middle of an intersection and vandals smashed in storefront windows!!!

What has just transpired over the G20 Summit weekend is truly horrifying in its implications!!

Torontonians must take a stand on this development before it becomes the norm for protests of any kind!

Elena, We met outside the detention centre, it's Jen, the girl with the red hair handing out water. Please feel free to contact me if you need anything, or need to talk. I hope things are getting better for you *hugs* I can be found on facebook - Jennifer Booth
