The theme of the debate "An Agenda for Canadian Cities," offers candidates an opportunity to articulate their vision for urban centres. The debate is divided into three main sections: Infrastructure renewal, equality and social issues, and sustainable economy. NOTE ON AUDIO: There were local problems with the sound system. I went to the debate tonight and was very pleasantly surprised to find the auditorium completely packed to the point that 150 people were turned away. Clearly a few rabble folks were there, and everyone was respectful and gave a standing ovation to the candidates when they were done.
I am sure it will be published widely, but Olivia Chow announced a tribute to Jack Layton on March 23rd kicking off the convention for anyone able to go.
