Anything that shakes up the Jewish mainstream is dismissed as anti-semitic. Recently, the PM of Israel said Iran leads the world in exporting terror despite the fact that Israel has whacked a flock of Iranian nuclear scientists. Still, the claim that Israel exports terrorism would be dismissed as anti-semitic. In fact, saying that terrorism played a pivotal role -- the murder of Count Bernadotte and the blowing up of the King David Hotel, for example -- in the birth of Israel is considered heresy in the eyes of those who support Israel right or wrong. But mainstream Jews vote in blocs and they vote for politicians who listen to them on the subject of Israel. The perfect example: the speed with which all parties in the Ontario legislature, including the NDP, rose to condemn Jenny Peto's thesis. But say any of the above and you are labelled an anti-semite.
