Crowdsourcing

Crowdsourcing involves taking a task that would ordinarily be completed by individuals, and distributing it amongst a group of people. In this sense, crowdsourcing can be understood as a collaborative problem-solving model.

In classic instances of crowdsourcing, problems are broadcast to an unidentified group of solvers in the form of an open call for solutions.
