The Call Out:
Fwd: Join rabble.ca at the Centre for Social Innovation Spadina on July 10th for an exclusive screening of the collaborative documentary Preempting Dissent and a post screening discussion with film maker and Ryerson Professor Greg Elmer.
The creative commons film looks at the “Miami Model” of protest policing, from WTO protests in 1999 to its use during Occupy. The film exposes preemptive protest policing tactics including surveillance regimes and the use of so called “less lethal” weapons.
This event is free and open to all and is wheelchair accessible.
