International Day Against Police Brutality – Today in Vancouver

The Deets:

Thursday March 15, 2012
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The intersection of Main and Hastings Street
Toronto, Ontario

The Call Out:

Vancouver Cop Watch (VCW) and all people invited are taking over the intersection of Main and Hastings street, with First Nations drums and singers.

VCW is dedicating this rally to the Nations of the Coast Salish Territory, who are the ones most affected by police brutality.

Come listen to our dynamic speakers, who will be speaking out and remembering the people who have been injured or died in custody of the VPD/RCMP.

We will be speaking out about Vancouver’s Missing and murdered women, racism within the VPD/RCMP, the Missing Women’s inquiry, The Beat TV show and how the police are ticketing the poor, etc.

THIS IS A PEACEFUL EVENT.
