Speakers and musical performances in support of protecting the sacred Chaudière Falls site — Akikodjiwan / Asinabka — in Ottawa/Gatineau on unceded Algonquin territory. The area is under threat of planned condo-commercial development by Windmill Development Group Ltd in partnership with Dream Unlimited Corp.

In November, the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador (including nine Algonquin chiefs) passed a resolution opposing the development, instead demanding the land be returned to Algonquin stewardship. In December, the full Assembly of First Nations passed a similar resolution.

Despite this, the developers broke ground on the Gatineau side of the project in mid-December. No levels of government have yet to respond to the demands of the Algonquin chiefs.
