Environmental Justice is a global issue. The People’s Summit laid down a challenge to the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, which once again displayed government and corporate indifference to environmental needs.

Environmental Justice is an issue in Canada. The tar sands in Alberta threaten water, land and human rights. Now tar sands oil may be coming to Sarnia, Ontario.

Environmental Justice is an issue in Ontario, Six Nations activists, land defenders and allies are facing injunctions for their protection of environment and honouring of the Treaties.

We will have lots of time for discussion and strategizing, as we grapple with the key question: “What can we do?” The stakes are high for Ontario and humanity.

All welcome
