Krystal’s horrible Hallowe’en round up

I usually wait a few days to make sure all the idiots have uploaded their favorite costume photos before I begin.

Now these are in no particular order of awfulness. An acceptability verdict will appear at the end of every sample.

Sample A: Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman

This was uploaded to the Facebook account of Caitlin Cimeno. While the identities of the two men have not been confirmed, they are from Florida where Martin was shot to death.

The man portraying Zimmerman is pointing a flesh gun to Martin’s head with smiles all around. He also wears a “Neighborhood Watch” on his shirt  The man portraying Martin is in blackface.

Sample B: Trayvon Martin

There are a few examples of Trayvon Martin stand-alone costumes, which include blackface, hoodies, fake blood, a bottle of Iced Tea and a pack of Skittles.

 One Trayvon Martin trick-or-treater was kind enough to include a watermelon in her photo.

Sample C: Dressing up as the KKK

Apparently, this mother has let her son go out trick or treating in a full white sheet and white hood (cut out eyes) and some sort of klan logo on the right chest.

The mother, Jessica Black, is of Craigsville, Virginia, and people expect her child in the sheet.

Sample D: Boston Marathon Massacre

 Alicia Lynch from Michigan decided that it would be culturally relevant to dress up as a victim of the Boston Marathon Massacre. 

She was wearing a runners jersey, skirt and shoes and then went to go mess her costume up to make it look like she was a bombing victim with horrible bloody injuries to both her legs.

She has received mostly death threats and some sympathy.

Sample E: I went Red-face

Our winner in this category has celebrity blood and yet seems lacking a brain or at least a sympathy chip.

Ireland Baldwin (18-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger) decided to throw on the old war paint and either make or buy this horrible headdress – the only grace is that the headdres can only partially be seen and I see no fake eagle fathers.

Now, I do give her credit for apologizing, even it was her parents that forced her, too.

Sample F: I went Black-face

 Julianne Hough, the former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro donned Black-face on Friday night as part of her Halloween costume. In her defense, she claimed she was dressing up as a character from Orange is the New Black.

This explans why she went out in Black-face in an orange jumpsuit, which by itself would have been doubly-offensive.

Verdict: NO
