The British Columbia housing crisis is allegedly “finally taking centre stage in the legislature,” but the proposed actions by the B.C. Liberals against clearly unethical practices like shadow flipping are not going to solve the problem.  

Right now, 116,000 people in B.C. are in housing crisis according to socialhousingbc.com. rabble’s Activist Toolkit will profile groups taking action on the housing crisis and ways you can support them. 

In the past month, there was a great article in The Globe and Mail about Housing Action for Local Taxpayers (HALT). Recently HALT has been holding outreach actions across Vancouver. The next outreach action is on July 29 at the Broadway-City Hall Canada Line Station, located at the intersection of Broadway and Cambie. Dorte and Andreas Kargut and others from the Wellington filed a case before the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal which was settled because they were drowning in legal costs.
