Rallies, vigils and a hunger strike were held across Canada today.
More than a thousand assembled in Dundas Square to listen to speakers, including Naomi Klein, and marched through the streets of Toronto in protest, while others began a hunger strike in front of the Israeli consulate as of 7 a.m. this morning.
In Ottawa another thousand marched from the Human Rights Monument to Parliament Hill to call on the Conservative government to join the chorus of world leaders condemning Israel’s attack on world citizens, on a Nato country’s ship.
Hundreds came out in Montreal and braved the rain in Vancouver to protest. Canadians joined the thousands around the world who took to the streets.
