Check out Films for Action for an incredible wealth of activist resources. The site houses thousands of films to help you educate yourself or organize for a worthwhile cause. But it’s not just video material.
“Films for Action is a community-powered alternative news center and learning library for people who want to change the world,” as the site describes itself. In additional to full-length films catalogued on the site, there are articles, interviews, trailers, and information on various cities’ “chapters.” These on-the-ground movements are focused on creating alternative media. To top it all off Films for Action gives you the opportunity to actually take action (check out this great piece for reducing your home’s environmental harm!).
From animal rights to terrorism, Films for Action has activists covered with resources for almost every issue under the sun.

That’s why I believe rabble.ca is so important; our national writing team cuts through the corporate news releases, the misinformation and the buzzy, fear-mongering clickbait to share the heart of the stories that most affect Canadians —all through a progressive lens, always corporate free and never behind a paywall.
We believe exceptional, independent media should be accessible to all. But in order to keep this mandate going, we’ll need your help.
