The countries in the Artic Council, and Canada, need to do a lot more to plan and execute the delivery of sustainable energy. The Gwich’in Council International (GCI), which represents 9,000 Gwich’in in the Northwest Territories (NWT), Yukon, and Alaska as a Permanent Participant in the Arctic Council, is working to develop a toolkit to push community energy plans which will develop sustainable energy plans in every community across the country.
