In Tanzania the Government of President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete is once again preceding with its plans to forcibly evict the Maasai people from their traditional lands to make way for big game hunters who wish to hunt Lions and Leopards. This egregious action against the indigenous Maasai people in the name of economic development cannot be allowed to proceed. Indigenous peoples worldwide have for too long been forced off of their lands and had their dignity sacrificed at the altar of capitalism and imperialism.
Sign this petition to demand that the Kikwete government cease their eviction campaign against the Maasai people.
