As conflict in Syria continues, now three years since its start in March 2011, millions more are displaced, wounded, and killed every day. The media also continues to emphasize the devastation the conflict is wrecking on Syria’s children. From bombs, to malnutrition, to outbreaks of infectious disease, Syrian citizens and especially children are suffering. And that’s to say nothing of affected populationsin places such as Jordan and Lebanon, where millions flee to burgeoning refugee camps. Infrastructure in these surrounding countries is at a breaking point too.
Make your 3-minute action this week a plea for negotiation and political action to address the Syrian conflict. This Avaaz petition is a great place to start. Help find “A Solution for Syria.”
