The cost of food in northern Canada, particularly in winter, has long stunned Canadians who live further south and in cities where affordable food is easier to come by. It is absolutely wrong that so little is done to address hunger in communities in northern Canada.
Feeding Nunavut is an independent, non-partisan advocacy and educational organization whose purpose is to improve the well-being of people in the Canadian North, specifically Nunavut.
Right now, they are asking us to take action to demand food security for northern Canada. Write to your MPs, donate, support school food programs, support Nunavut Hunters and Fishers and get involved. Let’s fight to end hunger in Canada.
