Little Free Libraries are becoming a world-wide phenomenon.

Operating under the same principles as the book exchanges you sometimes see in cafes, Little Free Libraries are small, usually house-shaped stuctures set up in neighbourhoods and packed with books. Everyone is welcome to borrow a book or leave one.

The LA Times profiled a man whose library evolved into a meeting spot for local people.

This Quill and Quire piece heralds Little Free Libraries’ arrival in Canada, via Toronto.

The Little Free Library website has plenty of stories of libraries all over the world.

What about your neighbourhood? Have you see any of these little book houses, or something similar? Would you consider building one?

Help rabble spread cuteness and literacy!
