Hello lovely readers!

It is time to get your smile and laugh on with this week’s edition of Feel Good Friday.

We’ve got triumphs over fracking companies, free books (!), hilarious movie reviews, Indigenous voices and, oh, so much more.

So what are you waiting for?

Dive in and enjoy!

  • Begin with a fist-pump and a whoohoo because today a Federal Court Judge ruled that the 2012 changes to the Interim Federal Health Program must be changed. The ruling used a few choice words to describe the 2012 changes that denied health care services to so many refugees, for instance: “unconstitutional” and “cruel.” Tell us how you really feel, Federal Court.
  • NY communities triumph over fracking companies because a high court ruled that towns can zone out oil and gas operations.
  • It’s the opposite of striking gold. Brazil revokes the license for Belo Sun Mining, to mine for gold in the Amazon,  saying the Canadian company failed to assess the mine’s impact on local indigenous communities.
  • “These arguments are not those of serious people,” said a U.S. district judge on the argument that gay marriage would harm the state’s birth rate.
  • Even though this video is perhaps a rip-off of this video, any video set to ‘Ridin dirty’ is bound to be hilarious.
  • For how little I, Kaitlin, care about soccer, I’ve watched a surprising number of World Cup soccer games. Regardless, these real life red cards are pretty funny.
  • Don’t know the answer on Jeopardy? No problem. Just do this.
  • If you are a lover of The Notebook, turn around and run far, far away from this post. If you aren’t, you should read it because it is pretty hilarious.
  • I got MVP in my softball last week. There’s no link for that. I just thought you all would like to know.
